CLC is a friendly, progression-oriented guild composed of adults wanting to attain similar goals. While we do not consider ourselves to be "hardcore," we are completely determined about and focused on conquering all end game content in a timely manner. We like to enjoy our time together drama-free and joking around, though we know when to get serious and accomplish the task at hand. We also recognize that this is just a game and as such, family and real life come first. In order to keep our raid team operational and run successful instances, we continually recruit quality players looking for a good home. We ask our members to be smart players who have the ability to think on their feet and be adaptable. We also ask for them to be team-oriented, helpful to their guildmates and conduct themselves so as not to tarnish the CLC tag. If you are such a player, we invite you to visit our recruitment page and fill out an application. We consider every application submitted to us. Our current recruitment needs are: Feral Druid Warrior Tank ICC and Christmas FunPosted by FoxymommaDecember 25, 2009 at 4:27 pm
The first week of Icecrown Citadel went by fairly smoothly for CLC. All the new content was cleared without too many problems and confident raiders have swept the first wing clear for the past couple of weeks. We're all looking forward to the next!!
![]() Since this week brought us Christmas, raiders were given the week off to spend time with friends and family. In place of raids, officers hosted Game Night. Monday was a Scavenger Hunt where participants had to find everything from Dark Iron Baby Booties to a Vial of Tears and possibly even grab a screenshot with Thrall himself! Tuesday was Boomer's Adventure - a race through Azeroth and the Outlands chasing Boboh's crazy cat! Thanks to everyone who participated and congrats to team Don't Fuck with Your Healers on a very close win! ![]() Also in guild news, starting January 3rd Baeldun and Foxymomma will be presenting Achievement Sundays. If you have an achievement you desperately want, check with these two achievement hunters! Everything from raids and heroics to PvP and reputation grinds. Look for it on the in-game calendar! Progress in Ice Crown CitadelPosted by FoxymommaDecember 10, 2009 at 7:48 pm
After letting the servers calm down on patch day, Wednesday night proved a successful venture for the CLC raid team. Facing down Lord Marrowgar in two pulls, raiders turned their gaze on Lady Deathwhisper. Getting the right balance of dps to control the chaos was a bit daunting at first but we pulled together and slew the great Lady. Raiders are looking forward to getting back into the Citadel tonight to complete the first wing.
Remember your guildies when putting together groups for the ten man version of Icecrown Citadel. Other upcoming events include Game Nights the week of Christmas. Check out the forums for sign up and general rules. ![]()
Three Lights in the DarknessPosted by FoxymommaSeptember 7, 2009 at 2:49 am
After getting Foxy's 30th fragment from Flame Leviathan, CLC raiders blew through Ulduar to stare down Yogg-Saron and attempt to defeat him with the assistance of only three Keepers. Compensating for increased mob health, dealing less damage, and having no "I was an idiot" save proved difficult at first. But the raid team buckled down, extended the raid ID and pushed through to the win and our first
Thanks to everyone for their hard work and persistance! LEGENDARY BUBBLES!! This past Wednesday proved successful in the Tournament as raiders went to face the final challenge set before us - Anub'arak. After adjusting to the few changes made since the beta, the team confidently executed the strat to finish up regular Trial of the Crusade. On to Heroic! ![]() P.S. It took so long to update because I didn't want to post about my own legendary. =( More Hard Modes AccomplishedPosted by FoxymommaAugust 4, 2009 at 2:38 pm
This past raiding week proved fruitful for the CLC raid team as we entered Ulduar. Once again taking down 4T Flame Leviathan, we set our sights on XT. A few pulls later proved successful, leaving raiders euphoric, giggling, and a bit distracted. Later in the week, raiders buckled down and brought the dps to put Hodir in his place.
With patch coming out today, be sure to update your addons! Read up on all the new bosses that just got released and prepare to start working on them later this week. Towers Toppled!Posted by FoxymommaJuly 8, 2009 at 1:16 am
After working so hard last week and getting 4 Towers Flame Leviathan to 4%, the CLC raid team spent another Tuesday facing them down. Everyone took their posts in Seige Engines, Demolishers, and Choppers scrambling away from clusters of light rays and spreading fire. The launch and recovery teams did an excellent job of downing turrets and keeping Demolishers packed full of pyrite. Seige Engines kept Lashers at bay, pyrite on the ground, and FL from frying us with Flame Vents. Great job everyone! Now let's show XT who's boss!
Medium Mode, Smedium ModePosted by FoxymommaJune 30, 2009 at 12:03 am
After clearing the rest of Ulduar last Thursday, the CLC raid team went back in to face down the Assembly of Iron - Hard Mode. With a few false starts and assignment changes, we made serious progress getting into Phase 3 consistently. A little more time and effort will surely bring us the Hard Mode kill for which we're looking. Deciding to end the evening on a positive note, raiders faced the Iron Council on Medium Mode, killing Runemaster last after three pulls (50%, 30%, and a kill respectively). Grats to those who received loot! On to more challenges next week!
Yogg Defeated!Posted by FoxymommaJune 26, 2009 at 2:20 pm
WIth attendance issues behind us, the CLC raid team showed up on Monday and threw all their force into conqueroring Yogg-Saron. At the end of a frustrating night, the last pull proved that our raiders can set themselves to accomplish anything in the way! Coasting on Monday's success, the raid team went back into Ulduar on Tuesday and pummeled Flame Leviathan with three towers up and made serious progress on XT's hard mode (7%!!). And to start of the weekend right, a beautiful one shot of Yogg-Saron last night shows that we're ready for major work on all the hard modes. Grats to everyone!
Vezax? No Problem!Posted by FoxymommaMay 29, 2009 at 1:26 am
Grats to the CLC raid team on their kill of General Vezax tonight! A couple of adjustments and a few pulls have put us within reach of the final challenges of Ulduar. Yogg promises to be a challenging fight to accomplish. Good luck!
